When you are not in the house you know that your canine will be chewing its toy and not your furniture or possessions. By providing your dog with plenty of toys of all different types you are displaying good dog care. Your canine will appreciate the love shown and will learn that good behavior with the toys will provide rewards. Dogs respond well to a reward system and if they see that they will get toys if they leave other items alone then they will strive to do this. Dog Toys are an important part of your dogs happy and healthy lifestyle.
There are multiple dog toy choices available now and some of the newer puzzle toys are just the stimulus your dog needs to keep busy and out of trouble. Unfortunately if you do not supply your dog with toys to both fill their day with constructive activities and satisfy their need to chew, they will likely find your favorite pair of shoes and create their own chew toy. This leads to the next question of how do you supply your dog with appropriate dog toys to suit their needs.
Hard wearing toys are advisable or you will end up spending a fortune on toys if your dog keeps destroying them. And toys which make a noise always seem like a good idea until your dog squeaks them continuously. You can give your dog stuffed animals but some destructive dogs will simply destroy them, and if you have children then their toys might be next. Tug toys are great and ideal for pups that want to play with you all of the time as are balls and Frisbees; these are ideal ways for you to be active and play with your dog at the same time.
In addition, I recommend a toy that mentally challenges your dog. There are tons of new dog toy puzzles available where your dog gets one toy that is full of smaller toys and has to figure out how to get them out. Another favorite are the rubber toys that hold either food or treats inside and your dog has to work to get the food out. All of these offer excellent stimulation and a break for you. Chew Bones Offer both an activity and a way for you and your dog to unwind. With multiple variations of pressed bones, rawhide bones, rubber bones, dental bones and many others, you are sure to find one that is your dogs favorite.
Giggle Stick dog toys make sounds that many dogs love. Betsy advises the Giggling Flamingo; however, we suggest The Chuckle by Busy Buddy. Rubber surrounds this giggle stick, and so it is an extra durable dog toy. Because we do not know this dogs destruction style, it is best to find toys that are likely to last. Grunters are great deep noisemakers. Your dog is sure to love Kyjen Pet Products Furry Marmot. This super furry toy has a protected grunter in its body and a long tail. If your dog loves to shake its toys, it will love that long tail.
